Alex Maas is a graduating senior in the Michigan State University School of Journalism. After graduation, he plans on pursuing graduate research into the effects of social media on political behavior and sentiments, interpersonal relationships and mental health, with the ultimate goal of becoming a professor of communication. He is from Mount Clemens, Michigan, and attended De La Salle Collegiate High School and Wayne State University before transferring to Michigan State as a sophomore. In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar and composing music, competitive bowling and sailing the Great Lakes.
