Walton, Guerrero Lyons, and Fink Win School Board Seats
Debbie Walton, Elizabeth Guerrero Lyons, and Monica Fink have won the largest share of votes respectively for the three open seats on the East Lansing Public Schools Board of Education.
The votes are still uncertified, but Ingham County has said 100% of East Lansing precincts have reported their results.
The School Board had three open seats, with only one incumbent – Nichole Martin – running for reelection. Erin Graham and Hillary Henderson are leaving the Board. Consequently, all the winners will be new to School Board.

In the lead-up to the election, ELi gathered written responses from the candidates and conducted interviews with each over Zoom. Check those out to find out more about the three newest members.
According to the information available from the Ingham County Clerk’s office, it appears that 12,990 people in the district voted absentee and 4,376 in-person yesterday.
