Today marks the start of NewsMatch, a program that empowers us to obtain a national matching grant that doubles gifts made to ELi!

We are part of NewsMatch because we belong to the Institute for Nonprofit News (INN). INN has arranged funding from a team of national philanthropies, including Democracy Fund and the Knight Foundation.   

NewsMatch will match donations made today through Dec. 1 up to $5,000 per individual and up to a total cap of $11,500 this year.

Note that new monthly commitments will be matched at the ANNUAL rate – so make a new commitment of $20/month and that will bring us a $240 match!
