Council Meeting Cancelled Due to Technical Difficulties
East Lansing City Council’s meeting was cancelled tonight due to technical difficulties.
Although members of the public were able to use the phone-in option to listen and particulate, staff were unable to get the Zoom conferencing video to feed to the livestream. This was also a problem last week, but was fixed a few minutes after 7 p.m. and that meeting was able to happen.
City Manager George Lahanas said the public could still participate via the phone-in option, but Mayor Aaron Stephens indicated he was uncomfortable proceeding tonight when citizens might be trying to watch via a system that was not working.
The meeting is being rescheduled for Monday, Aug. 24, at 7 pm. The agenda that was drafted for tonight’s meeting can be viewed here.
