School Board President Terah Chambers Discusses Return to In-Person Learning, Racial Equity
On this episode of the East Lansing Insider, Managing Editor Emily Joan Elliott interviews Dr. Terah Chambers, the President of the East Lansing Public Schools Board of Education. Chambers, who is a professor at MSU’s College of Education, explains what motivates her to focus on educational administration and policy and how that relates to her work on the School Board.
Chambers, as Chair of the Policy Committee, has been working on a racial equity policy, and she discusses that process. The two also discuss how the pandemic has affected public education, and what comes next following the pandemic.
