Be Patient, Grab Some Candy: Homecoming Parade Brings Road Closures
The East Lansing High School Homecoming Parade will take place Friday, Sept. 23 beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The parade will start at East Lansing High School and go from Old Hickory Lane south to Burcham Drive; west on Burcham Drive to M.A.C. Avenue; south on M.A.C Avenue to Albert Avenue; east on Albert Avenue to Bailey Street; and north on Bailey Street back to Burcham Drive; west on Burcham Drive to Old Hickory Lane, before finishing back at the high school.
Roads on the parade route will close at 5:30 p.m. and are expected to remain closed for approximately an hour. Community members are invited to line the streets to watch the parade.
The East Lansing Police Department will assist with road closures to ensure community safety during the parade.
Following the parade, the homecoming festivities will carry over to the gridiron, where the undefeated East Lansing Trojans will host the Grand Blanc Bobcats. The Bobcats enter the matchup with two wins and two losses on the season. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
