ELPD Investigating Shooting on M.A.C. Avenue
The East Lansing Police Department announced it is investigating a shooting that occurred on M.A.C. Avenue, Sunday, Sept. 11 at about 1:30 a.m.
A victim was transported from the downtown scene to receive medical care after sustaining injuries that are not life threatening.
There were 31 bullet casings from three different caliber guns recovered at the scene.
“This is a very serious, unacceptable incident that ELPD is actively investigating,” said ELPD Captain Chad Pride. “We will leave no stone unturned in uncovering what occurred and identifying the individuals involved.”
