It’s Election Day!
Voters will make important decisions for the future of East Lansing today, as two of the five seats on the City Council are set to change hands after today’s election.
Not sure who to voter for? Check out East Lansing Info’s Election Guide to meet the six candidates running for two seats on City Council. The guide includes feature stories on each of the candidates, coverage of a pair of candidate forums, analysis of campaign finance reports and candidates’ responses to a series of questions asked by ELi.
Additionally, ELi broke down a millage on the ballot that would isolate the parks and recreation department from potential cuts, but also raise the property tax cap past its current limit.
Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you’re unsure where to vote, unsure if you’re eligible to vote or have another election-related question, the Michigan Voter Information Center has plenty of answers.
