Mark Pontoni recently retired from East Lansing High School where he taught history, coached baseball, ran a successful Model United Nations team, and served as the teachers union president. Before coming to East Lansing in 2019, he lived and taught in northern Michigan.where he also wrote weekly columns in both the Petoskey News Review and the Northern Express out of Traverse City.
