Help ELi Reach Its $200,000 Goal by Dec. 31
Closing out the year for East Lansing Info (ELi) staff means hitting the rest of the year’s City meetings, getting ready for the holidays and pushing to hit our $200,000 fundraising goal before the end of our 2024 Sustainability Campaign on Dec. 31.
The end of the year always brings sentiments like nostalgia, optimism for a new year and gratitude. For the end of this year, it’s gratitude that keeps us at ELi going.
How could we not appreciate our community when supporters have, once again, shown up to shine a light on local journalism. We have raised $104,681.20, which means we are 52% of the way toward our $200,000 fundraising goal.
It is obvious ELi is supported in our mission, and that’s why I believe we can count on your help to hit our next goal milestones.
We just received an additional $2,000 from NewsMatch!
NewsMatch – the national philanthropic campaign to support nonprofit news – just received additional support from a national funder, offering us another $2,000 in matching funds for a total of a $15,000 match.
Many local donors have matching dollars left and we’re looking for 19 New Donors!
We also have about $8,000 of local matching dollars still available, as well as a $500 bonus if we receive 50 new donors. A new donor is someone who contributes to our Sustainability Campaign who has never donated to ELi before.
We have 31 new donors so far, so we need just 19 more! And, as always throughout our campaign, every dollar will be matched, dollar for dollar, until Dec. 31! That also includes money spent on becoming an East Lansing Insider member!
So, tell your friends, tell your family – spread the news to help us bring the news in 2024.
