Meet the ELi Gang at Fieldhouse, and Bid at Our Silent Auction!
To celebrate the success of our fundraising campaign to bring East Lansing the news in 2023, the ELi team will be hosting an open event on the second-floor space at Fieldhouse next Wednesday, Jan. 25, starting at 7:30 p.m.
Come chat with ELi’s Publisher Alice Dreger, Managing Editor Julie Seraphinoff, and other members of the ELi team including staff, reporters, and members of the Board of Directors. We’ll buy a few rounds of appetizers and there will be a cash bar.
At this event, you can also participate live in our silent auction. Items up for bid will include several signed books, including Alice Dreger’s Gaileo’s Middle Finger: Heretics, Activists, and One Scholar’s Search for Justice, Margaret Sullivan’s Ghosting the News: Local Journalism and the Crisis of American Democracy, Peter Sagal’s The Incomplete Book of Running, and more.
We’ll also have some great items from Quark, Sundance Jewelers, the MSU Broad, and Pinball Pete’s, along with other items donated by local organizations, businesses, and ELi readers.
No need to rsvp. Just come on by! We will be glad to see you.
Fieldhouse is located at 213 Ann. St., on Albert Avenue next to Blue Owl Coffee. An elevator is available for people with mobility disabilities. If you’re driving, the easiest places to park are the ramp across from Harper’s, the ramp on Grove Street, and the City Hall surface parking lot.
