Person Hospitalized After Fall from Parking Garage on Albert Avenue
A person was hospitalized after the individual “had either fallen or purposely jumped from the first floor of the ramp in the 100 block of Albert [Avenue],” according to East Lansing Police Department Deputy Chief Steve Gonzalez.
ELi first became aware of the incident, which occurred a little after 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 21, after a reader wrote to us about postings they had seen on a social media platform. The posts said an incident had occurred in downtown East Lansing but provided conflicting reports about what had happened.
According to Gonzalez, the “individual sustained significant injuries, but was stable at a local hospital upon last check.”
ELPD is still investigating whether the fall was intentional or accidental, but foul play is not suspected at this time, said Gonzalez.
